About Win
Pawin “Win” Pattanakoson was born in Yala, Thailand. He grew up in Baan Si Thammarat Boys Home in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Due to it being a Government funded orphanage, Win was fortunate to attend school. He completed all his schooling within the Boys Home and did a further 2 years of Art studies in Nakhon Si Thammarat at Silapa Hattakam School.
At the age of 21 he moved to Bangkok to study Fine Arts, majoring in Painting, at Rajamangala Institute of Technology, Phra Nakhon Tai Campus, which he completed with a Bachelor in 2004.
Since finishing his degree Win has spent years working in numerous art galleries in the South of Thailand, in Koh Samui, Phuket, Koh Lanta and Kao Lak. From 2008 to 2012 he had his own art studio on Railay beach in Krabi.
Win has also joined in art exhibitions in Nakhon Si Thammarat (Silapa Hattakam School) and Krabi (Krabi Art Museum). Additionally, his art work has been taken abroad, where it received a lot of positive attention, through his extensive travels to Australia, India, Indonesia and Europe (Switzerland and Italy).
Since 2014 he has been based on Koh Phayam, on Thailand‘s Andaman coast, where he and his wife Tanja have worked hard to build up Art Yoga Homestay.
